AUTHORISED HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLE TOURS AROUND EUROPE – CHATEAU & GOURMET – 6-10 AUGUST 2010

Staying in three spectacular 4 star chateaux, relaxing in the elegant surroundings and eating food that makes French cuisine famous throughout the world. It's all about elegance, luxury and fine food after enjoying a day on the fantastic back roads of northern France.

Day 1. Friday August 6. Calais to Chateau Sassetot (approx. 160 miles).
As we leave Calais we hug the coast and ride towards Normandy for our first nights stop in Sassetot. This former residence of the Empress Sissi sits in 11 hectares of parkland and is not far from the scenic Alabaster coast.

Day 2. Saturday August 7. Chateau Sassetot to Chateau d'Esclimont (approx. 150 miles).
We move inland today, through the rolling Normandy countryside to the Chateau d'Esclimont, south west of Paris. Surrounded by a moat, this impressive chateau with its towers, belfries and beautiful grounds, is our base for the night and once again dinner and wine is included.

Day 3. Sunday August 8. Chateau Esclimont to Chateau de Fere (approx. 150 miles).
After another day of fabulous roads we arrive at the Chateau de Fere, which sits side by side with the impressive ruins of a medieval castle. This grand and exclusive 18th century chateau is situated in beautiful wooded grounds; the rooms are tastefully decorated and offer spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The Chateau also has a heated swimming pool. The evening starts with a Champagne aperitif followed by a fabulous 4-course dinner with wine, water and coffee.

Day 4. Monday August 9. (approx. 100 miles).
The ride today is optional in case some of you would prefer to stay poolside, explore the grounds and generally relax. Those wanting to ride will head across the sweeping high ground of the Chemin des Dames before we return to the chateau and prepare for another outstanding evening meal with wine.

Day 5. Tuesday August 10. Chateau de Fere to Calais (approx. 165 miles).
We return to Calais for our afternoon crossing back to Dover.
