AUTHORISED HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLE TOURS AROUND EUROPE - RUN TO THE SUN 2009

We head south to the sun! Our three-day run down to St. Tropez is mainly on peage motorways and Route Nationales. The daily mileages will be around the 250 mark. Once in St. Tropez you have three whole days to enjoy what this lively French resort has to offer or visit the Euro Festival near Port Grimaud, only two miles from the hotel.

Visit the rally the easy way. All the hassle removed, everything booked for you and a van to carry your luggage daily.
The ferry (Dover/Calais), your hotels down, near the rally and for your return journey back are all booked.
The ride is not led by a Road Captain, however you'll get a simple daily main road & motorway route and there will be a HOG Touring Rides representative driving the support van to assist you if needed. All hotels are of a good standard and are in or on the outskirts of the towns or cities. Your luggage will arrive at the hotel each night and all you'll have to do is take it up to your room. All hotels, except the first and last, have been booked on a bed & breakfast basis so you'll be free to eat out on the other nights.

Day 1. Monday May 4. Calais to Troyes (approx. 235 miles)
Dinner with wine is included tonight and the hotel has a swimming pool.

Day 2. Tuesday May 5. Troyes to Valence (approx. 293 miles)
Tonight you are free to eat out.

Day 3. Wednesday May 6. Valence to Cogalin (approx. 204 miles)
The hotel is ideally placed as it is only 2 miles from the rally site, 2 miles from Port Grimaud and 3 miles from St. Tropez and its beaches and marina. Your stay for the next four nights is on a bed & breakfast basis only. The hotel has a swimming pool.

Day 4. Thursday May 7. Free day to visit the Rally or the surrounding places of interest.

Day 5. Friday May 8. Free day to visit the Rally or the surrounding places of interest.

Day 6. Saturday May 9. Free day to visit the Rally or the surrounding places of interest.

Day 7. Sunday May 10. Cogalin to Villefranche sur Saone (approx. 286 miles)
Tonight you are free to eat out.

Day 8. Monday May 11. Villefranche to Reims (approx. 287 miles). Dinner with wine is included tonight.

Day 9. Tuesday May 12. Reims to Calais (approx. 165 miles)
Direct back to Calais in time to catch an afternoon ferry back to the UK.
