Visit the rally the easy way. All the hassle removed, everything booked for you and a van to carry your luggage daily.

The ferry (Dover/Calais), your hotels down, near the rally and for your return journey back are all booked.

The ride is not led by a Road Captain, however you'll get a simple daily main road & motorway route and there will be HOG Touring Rides representative driving the support van to assist you if needed. All hotels are of a good standard and are in or on the outskirts of the towns or cities. Your luggage will arrive at the hotel each night and all you'll have to do is take it up to your room. All hotels, except the first and last, have been booked on a bed & breakfast basis so you'll be free to eat out on the other nights. The hotel on Garda is a comfortable 3 star in Desenzano, on the lakeside opposite the ferry terminal and amongst the nightlife! It is approx. 6 miles from the rally site and you have the choice of riding there or catching the ferry, which takes about 15 minutes.

PLEASE NOTE: In Switzerland you pay an annual motorway tax, even if you're only using the motorways for an hour or two. A vehicle sticker, or vignette, must be displayed on the windscreen by all vehicles.
If you don't display a vignette you'll be liable to a fine of approx. CHF100 plus the cost of the vignette. You can buy the stickers in the UK from the Swiss Centre. You can also buy them in Switzerland from customs offices at the frontier or service stations, garages and post offices. At the border you can pay in CHF, EUR & GBP. You can also pay inside the Customs office onsite by credit card. The vignette is valid until the end of the January of the year after you buy it and it is non transferable. The cost of the vignette is approx. £20.

Day 1. Tuesday September 23. Calais to Metz (approx. 290 miles). Peage motorway to your hotel in the centre of Metz where a welcome dinner with wine awaits you. A great chance to meet your fellow riders!

Day 2. Wednesday September 24. Metz to Lucerne (approx. 230 miles). Motorway into Germany and Switzerland and your hotel is on the outskirts of Lucerne. B&B.

Day 3. Thursday September 25. Lucerne to Desenzano (approx. 220 miles). Motorway again to your three night stay on Lake Garda. Parking for the bikes has been arranged. B&B.

Day 4. Friday September 26. Visit the rally. B&B.

Day 5. Saturday September 27. Visit the rally. B&B.

Day 6. Sunday September 28. Desenzano to Basel (approx. 280 miles). Motorway to Basel and your hotel in the city centre. B&B.

Day 7. Monday September 29. Basel to Reims. (approx. 285 miles by motorway or 260 miles by main road). So to your final night in Reims where dinner with wine is included and a chance to get together and swap Rally tales!

Day 8. Tuesday September 30. Reims to Calais (approx. 170 miles). A last blast up the motorway to get you to the ferry for an afternoon crossing back to the UK.
