AUTHORISED HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLE TOURS AROUND EUROPE – EURO RALLY, LUGANO – 13-20 JULY 2010

Visit the rally the easy way. All the hassle removed, everything booked for you and a van to carry your luggage daily.
The ride is not led by a Road Captain, however you'll get a simple daily main road & motorway route and there will be HOG Touring Rides representative driving the support van to assist you if needed. All hotels are of a good standard and are in or on the outskirts of the towns or cities. Your luggage will arrive at the hotel each night and all you'll have to do is take it up to your room. Three of the hotels are booked on a half board basis and you'll be free to eat out on the other nights. The hotel in Lugano is a lakeside, 4 star hotel and only a short distance from the rally site.

PLEASE NOTE: In Switzerland you pay an annual motorway tax, even if you're only using the motorways for an hour or two. A vehicle sticker, or vignette, must be displayed on the windscreen by all vehicles.
If you don't display a vignette you'll be liable to a fine of approx. CHF100 plus the cost of the vignette. You can buy the stickers in the UK from the Swiss Centre. You can also buy them in Switzerland from customs offices at the frontier or service stations, garages and post offices. At the border you can pay in CHF, EUR & GBP. You can also pay inside the Customs office onsite by credit card. The vignette is valid until the end of the January of the year after you buy it and it is non transferable. The cost of the vignette is approx. £20.

Day 1. Tuesday July 13. Calais to Reims (approx. 165 miles).
Peage motorway to your hotel on the outskirts of Reims where a welcome dinner awaits you. A great chance to meet your fellow riders!

Day 2. Wednesday July 14. Reims to Mulhouse (approx. 240 miles).
Main road and motorway to Mulhouse and as the hotel is not centrally located dinner has been arranged again.

Day 3. Thursday July 15. Mulhouse to Lugano (approx. 186 miles).
Main road and motorway to Lugano and your hotel for the next three nights. The Hotel du Lac is a four star hotel situated on the lakeside and is within easy reach of the Rally site. Bed & breakfast only.

Day 4. Friday July 16. Lugano. Visit the rally. Bed & Breakfast only.

Day 5. Saturday July 17. Lugano. Visit the rally. Bed & Breakfast only.

Day 6. Sunday July 18. Lugano to Strasbourg (approx. 252 miles).
Motorway to Strasbourg where your city centre hotel is located a few minutes' walk away from Petite Francais. Plenty of choices for dinner tonight as you're free to eat out.

Day 7. Monday July 19. Strasbourg to Chamouille (approx. 250 miles).
Motorway and main road to Chamouille and you final night before heading home. Dinner is included tonight.

Day 8. Tuesday July 20. Chamouille to Calais (approx. 150 miles).
Motorway to Calais and your ferry back to Dover

Total tour mileage approx. 1,270 (not including any mileage while at the rally).
