AUTHORISED HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLE TOURS AROUND EUROPE - CHATEAU & GOURMET 2009

After its inaugural success last year, we are returning to Fere-en-Tardenois for two nights and then on to a new Chateau for the third night. Based on requests from many customers this motorcycle tour offers the same great roads and scenery but staying in two spectacular 4 star chateaux, relaxing in the elegant surroundings and eating food that makes French cuisine famous throughout the world. It's all about elegance and luxury after enjoying a day on the fantastic back roads of northern France.

Day 1. Saturday August 15. Calais to Fere-en-Tardenois (approx. 180 miles)
After a day of fabulous roads we arrive at the Chateau de Fere, which sits side by side with the impressive ruins of a medieval castle. This grand and exclusive 18th century chateau is situated in beautiful wooded grounds; the rooms are tastefully decorated and offer spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The Chateau also has a swimming pool. The evening starts with a Champagne aperitif followed by a fabulous 4-course dinner with wine, water and coffee.

Day 2. Sunday August 16. (approx. 100 miles). The ride today is optional in case some of you would prefer to stay poolside, explore the grounds and generally relax. Those wanting to ride will head across the sweeping high ground of the Chemin des Dames to a pre-arranged 4-course lunch at a local restaurant. (There is an additional charge per head for this lunch). After lunch we return to the chateau and prepare for another outstanding evening meal with wine.

Day 3. Monday, August 17. Fere-en-Tardenois to Hotel Chateau Tilques (approx. 140 miles)
Today as we start our return on some more interesting minor roads to our final night at Tilques just a short distance from St. Omer. This 19th-century building stands amid tall trees in a 13 acre park. The gastronomic restaurant is renowned throughout the Nord Pas de Calais region. Your final dinner with wine awaits you.

Day 4. Tuesday, August 18. Chateau Tilques to Calais (approx. 30 miles)
After a relaxed start there is a short run back to the ferry for your crossing from Calais to Dover.
