AUTHORISED HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLE TOURS AROUND EUROPE – CHAMPAGNE REGION – 14-17 AUGUST 2010

Mid August in the Champagne region, when the grapes are ripening just before harvesting in September, what more could you ask. The scenery in this part of France is beautiful, soft rolling hills and picture perfect villages. And of course not forgetting the wonderful sweepy roads which are waiting to be ridden in the summer sunshine. With the Champagne capital just a short distance away you'll have the chance to visit one or more of the Champagne houses in and around the city centre or just take some time to relax at the hotel.

Day 1. Saturday August 14. Calais to Camouille (approx. 150 miles).
From Calais we head south through the peaceful roads until we arrive at our hotel for the next three nights. The hotel, in the heart of the Chemin de Dames, sits on a lake and every room has a view across it. There is also a pool so don't forget your swimming costumes.

Day 2. Sunday August 15. Take the day off and relax poolside at the hotel or have a guided ride around this lovely region. (approx. 70 miles).

Day 3. Monday August 16. Either another day off, visit Reims or ride through the champagne fields. We'll visit Hautvilles, where Dom Perignon reputedly discovered the fizz in Champagne! (approx. 70 miles).

Day 4. Tuesday August 17. Chamouille to Calais (approx. 150 miles).
We return to Calais for our afternoon crossing back to Dover.
